`Kids for Tigers' workshop

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Sanctuary magazine's "Kids for Tigers" workshop was conducted recently at the Horticultural Information Centre, Lalbagh.

The programme, sponsored by Complan, enabled teachers from various schools in and around the city to interact with naturalists and conservationists.

The workshop provided insights about educating schoolchildren on the need for maintaining ecological balance and environmental harmony using the tiger as a symbol.

The teachers were asked to take steps to sensitise them on environmental issues.

A good number of teachers participated in the workshop.

Usha Ramaiah, coordinator, said that 43 schools from the city had registered for this year's programme.
