Man stabbed to death

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A youngster allegedly stabbed to death his sister's friend while she was chatting with him at Gandipet Park on Monday.

A resident of Jirra in Asifnagar, Mohd. Abed was speaking to his girlfriend when her brother Sajid and his friend Khader went to the park. "We don't know what transpired between them. But we understand that Sajid and Khader attacked the victim with knives even as the girl tried to stop them," Rajendranagar Inspector Ch. Srinivas said.

The duo allegedly inflicted multiple knife injuries on the victim leaving him in a pool of blood and sped away on a scooter.

Abed's friends -- Mohd. Nasir and Shaik Mohsin -- and their girlfriends, who accompanied him to the park, shifted him to a private hospital in Bandlaguda. After battling for life for a couple of hours, the victim succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. According to the police, Abed, a carpenter, fell in love with Sajid's sister. Sajid and his family members had reportedly warned Abed to stay away from the girl stating that her marriage had already been fixed.
