Painting

competition

Karuna Animal Welfare Association of Karnataka will conduct a spot painting competition for schoolchildren at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan Field in Cubbon Park at 9.30 a.m. on July 16. Young Achiever award

Rotary Club, J.P. Nagar gave away the "Young Achiever" award on the occasion of the installation of new office-bearers. Kishen, nine-year-old director of "C/O Footpath," has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest film director. District Governor Srikanth Chatrapathy lauded the boy's achievements and presented him a citation.

Beautician course

The Multi Disciplinary Training Centre, Office of Commissioner for Khadi and Village Industries, has organised a three-month beautician course from August 1. Counselling

The counselling for selection of PG dental seats at four religious and linguistic minority institutions for the academic year 2006-07 will be held on July 11 at Rajiv Gandhi University Health Sciences, Bangalore.
