The inmates of Majmai Orphanage at Vettichira near Valanchery had a special guest to lunch with on Monday. Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac was the first Minister ever to visit this orphanage. He not only had lunch with the inmates of the orphanage but also spent quite some time with them. He was accompanied by K.T. Jaleel MLA. The happiness of the occasion was in the air and was visible. Mr. Isaac and Mr. Jaleel were seemingly overwhelmed by the children's beaming faces. The Finance Minister was quick to promise the children that he would ensure all possible aid from the Government. As the Minister and his team left the orphanage, its managers were sporting a smile of fulfilment. They had to wait till the ascension of the LDF Government to get a Minister to visit their children.
