Municipal council to be sworn in today

Pondicherry: The newly elected chairman of the Oulgaret municipal council, N.S.J. Jayabal alias Ayyannar, will be inducted in office at a ceremony the Department of Local Administration has scheduled to hold on the Pondicherry Armed Police Grounds at Gorimedu near here on Wednesday .

All the 37 councillors will also take oath in at the function. The director of the department E. Vallavan will administer the oath.
