BOI launches `Samanya Credit card'
CHENNAI
: Bank of India (BOI) has launched a "Mega project for integrated development of 101 villages" all over the country in commemoration of its centenary year. The bank has identified four villages in Tamil Nadu and financed Rs.90 lakh to 940 beneficiaries. At a function, the Chairman and Managing Director, Balachandran and the Executive Director, K.R. Kamath, launched the `Samanya Credit Card' to provide hassle-free credit to rural and semi-urban households. The credit card holders are entitled to draw cash up to the limits sanctioned. The interest rate is as per the applicable rate for limits up to
Rs. 50,000, which is nine per cent annually.
