Police attacked

Nagpur: Naxalites opened fire on a police party and a shoot-out ensued in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, police said on Tuesday.

State Reserved Police Force jawan K. D. Shinde suddenly took ill and was taken to the primary health centre at Kotgul late on Monday night, police said.

When he was being brought back they were engaged by naxalites who escaped after the fight. — PTI
