Villagers thank surgeons

Staff Correspondent

Bidar: People of Mangalagi have thanked a team of surgeons led by Chandrakanth Meda of the District Government Hospital for attaching a woman's leg that had been severed in an attack on her in the village recently.

Manohar had cut off his wife Nagamma's leg, in a fit of rage. Villagers had brought her to the hospital with the leg packed in ice. The doctors operated on her and she was now recovering, said the victim's brother and Congress leader Prabhurao Talmadagi, in a release.
