VISAKHAPATNAM: With two more rounds to go, R. Ashwath (8 points) of Tamil Nadu is just half-a-point ahead of top seed and teammate S. Adhiban in the boys' section of the sub-junior National chess championships here. In the girls' section, top seed I. Ramya Krishna, with eight points, was joined by P. Laxmi Sahiti at the top of the table. Ashwath defeated Shreyansh Daklia of Chhattisgarh and Adhiban beat Swyams Misra of Orissa in the ninth round. Ramya Krishna drew with P. Uthra (TN) and Laxmi Sahiti prevailed over S. Tejaswani Reddy. Kanuri Tejaswi (AP) and Padmini Rout (Orissa) were one point behind the leaders.
