The actress had a rare pregnancy complication

HYDERABAD: Well known actress Roja, who had a rare pregnancy complication, gave birth to a baby boy recently.

Roja was admitted to Genesis Hospital, a unit of Kamineni hospitals, at Basheerbabh. The actress had `major degree placenta previa' which resulted in intermittent bleeding, which occurred in one in 100 women.

A team of gynaecologists Aruna Reddy, Balamba and neonatologist Ravi Shankar and B.B.Raj were treating her.

The infant, named Krishna Koushik, and his mother are doing well.
