No merger with Congress: Murali

Kozhikode: Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) president K. Muraleedharan has said his party does not want merger with the Congress. He was speaking at a convention of his party here on Monday.

Mr. Muraleedharan, referring to Congress leader Oommen Chandy's reported statement in Malappuram that ties with DIC-K had harmed prospects of the Congress, said DIC-K also did not want merger with the Congress.

He said the stature of the Congress as a national party has also taken a beating.
