YSR expresses shock over Mumbai blasts

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy has expressed deep shock and anguish at the serial blasts in Mumbai on a number of local trains, targeting innocent commuters returning home from workplaces.

In a statement here on Tuesday, Dr. Reddy described the terrorists' acts as `brutal, heinous and desperate acts of cowardice'. He said the incident would mar the noble image of the country as a land of peace and non-violence. "Violence has no places in a democratic set up," he added.

He expressed shock over the simultaneous blasts at Srinagar. He said the entire civilised society must unequivocally condemn the senseless acts of terrorism. He conveyed his condolences and deep sympathies to the members of the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery of the injured.
