Power shutdown

There will be no power supply on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Laser Layout, North Road, Ashoka Road, D'Costa Layout, Richard's Town, Banaswadi Main Road, Milton Street, M.S. Nagar and surrounding areas, according to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Power supply will be affected between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday in Gottigere, Basavanapura, Royal Heritage, Kembhutihalli, IDBI Layout, Mahaganapathi Nagar, Himagiri Meadows, Kolena Agrahara, Kamanahalli Main Road, Basavanapura, Noble Residency, Mallesandra, Akshaynagar, Vittasandra, Bettadasanapura, C.K. Palya Main Road, Hommadevanahalli, Eagle Ridge Layout and surrounding areas.

Training for

KAS exam

The Government of Karnataka has arranged for free pre-exam training for SC/ST/OBC and other minorities for KAS preliminary examination to be held in September. Training begins in August at the Pre-Examination Training Centre, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Millers Road, Vasanthnagar. Forms can be obtained personally or by sending a self-addressed envelope to the centre. Annual income of parents/guardians of candidates who wish to enrol in the programme should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh. The last date for receiving complete application forms is July 22.

Free revisions classes are being conducted for students of 9th and 10th standard and 2nd PUC and B.Com (semester scheme).
