Onion merchant found murdered

BANGALORE: A 22-year-old onion merchant, Ranganath, was found dead near Laggere Bus Stand on Tuesday morning. His body was found with stab injuries on the chest, police said.

Police suspect that some persons might have murdered Ranganath, a resident of Laggere, and thrown the body at the bus stand. The Rajgopalnagar police have registered a case of murder

Cylinder blast

A 35-year-old woman died and four others suffered injures after a domestic gas cylinder burst in Nagawarapalya near Byappanahalli police station limits on Monday night.

Police said Rena (35) died on the spot when the cylinder burst following gas leakage. The injured Wasim Syed (20), Nawaz Syed (3), Chotima (40), and her neighbour Vasantamma (31), were admitted to a private hospital.

Assaulted

Four persons assaulted Shivashankar, working in the race course, while he was returning on his motorcycle to his house in Sir M.V. Nagar, and robbed him of Rs. 8,000 and an ATM card in Ramamurthy Nagar police station limits on Monday night.
