RTC union to oppose State Government's move on `reforms'
HYDERABAD:
Newly-elected office-bearers of the APSRTC Employees' Union on Monday reiterated their commitment to the cause of protecting the corporation..
M.A. Khan, president, and V. Raja Ramamohan Rao, chief vice-president, told a press meet on Monday that in the State Council meeting it was resolved to condemn the Government's move to go ahead with reforms in 30 public sector undertakings, including APSRTC. The leaders said the union would observe July 25 as `APSRTC Protection Day.' Among the office-bearers elected were secretary-general K. Padmakar, honorary president and State general secretary, All-India Trade Union Congress, P.J. Chandrasekhara Rao, two deputy secretaries-general B. Raghava Reddy and Bh. Subba Raju, treasurer R. Thulasiraman and PR secretary P.D. Prasad Reddy.
