branch shifted

Thiruvananthapuram: The Althara junction branch of State Bank of India has been shifted to the ground floor of the same building. General Manager of SBI Niranjan Parsha inaugurated the new branch office. — Staff Reporter

Residents' body plea

on electronic meters

Thiruvananthapuram: The Federation of Residents' Association, Thiruvananthapuram, has urged the Government to stop installing electronic meters for measuring use of power in households.

In a release here, general secretary of the association Parinayam Devakumar said a Vigilance inquiry had found that the meters bought by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) were faulty and of low quality. — Staff Reporter

for journalism course

Thiruvananthapuram: The Press Club Institute of Journalism has invited applications for its post-graduate diploma course in electronic journalism. Degree holders up to the age of 25 are eligible to apply.

Killed in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: A 51-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a private bus at Vanchiyoor in the Attingal police station limits on Tuesday. The police identified the deceased as Divakaran. — Staff Reporter
