Panel arrives in city

KOCHI: Sixteen members of the standing committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas arrived in the city on Tuesday evening. The delegation is led by Jayaprakash, MP. They are expected to meet officials of Kochi Refineries Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on Wednesday. The members were received at the airport by Asok Sinha, chairman of KRL and CMD of BPCL. — Staff Reporter

Power supply

to be disrupted

KOCHI: Power supply will be disrupted to Indira Nagar, K.P. Vallon Road, Chilavanoor, Harijan Colony, Padam Stop and Vidya Nagar from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, the Girinagar office of the KSEB has said.

Training programme on safety at workplace

KOCHI: Labour Minister P.K. Gurudasan has said that the Factories and Boilers Directorate will be strengthened to improve overall safety in the industrial system. He was speaking at the inauguration of a one-day training programme on Safety at Workplace organised here on Monday under the aegis of the Directorate of Factories and Boilers and the Kerala Chapter of the National Safety Council. — Staff Reporter
