Atlas-Jeevan Telefest broadcast from July 16

KOCHI: Telefilms and documentaries selected for this year's Atlas-Jeevan Telefest will be broadcast on Jeevan TV from July 16 to August 13. Seventy-five telefilms were selected from around 150 entries and 31 documentaries were selected from 48 entries.

A jury with filmmaker K.G. George as chairman and scenarist John Paul and Kerala Sangeeta Nataka Akademi secretary Sreemoolanagaram Mohan as members will select the winners.

The best telefilm will get Rs.1 lakh and best documentary will get Rs.50,000. Besides awards for best actor (both male and female), child artiste, screenplay, editor, cinematographer, music director, singers and special mention by jury, awards of Rs.10,000 each will be given to members of audience selecting best telefilm and documentary.

The works selected will be broadcast at 5.30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, again at 11.15 p.m. from Monday to Friday, except Thursdays, and from 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Awards will be presented on August 19 in Kozhikode.
