Flagging off cancelled

PONDICHERRY: The Southern Railway has cancelled the flagging off train services in the broad gauge electric traction between Pondicherry and Chennai. The Chief Minister N Rangasamy was supposed to inaugurate it in the presence of Union Minister of State for Railways R. Velu on Wednesday.

A Railways communication said Mr. Velu had cancelled his programme due to the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai. The date of inauguration would be announced later.
