BIDAR: The Centre and the State governments should ensure free primary healthcare for all, which is the best way to control population, demography expert Marthandrao Khasempur said here on Tuesday. He was speaking at a function organised by the zilla panchayat to mark World Population Day. Mr. Khasempur said a comprehensive action plan, including free vaccination and poverty alleviation programmes, would help bring down the population growth rate. Zilla panchayat president Anil Bhusare, vice-president Jyothi Charan Rathod, education and health committee president Rajshekar Murthy, District Health Officer Pandurang Pujari and others were present.
