Essar Steel's turnover up

CHENNAI: Essar Steel has reported a total income of Rs. 6,390.72 crore (net of excise) for the year ended March 31, 2006, against Rs. 6,121.27 crore last year. The profit, before depreciation and interest charges, was Rs. 1,689.11 crore against Rs. 2,204.08 crore in the previous year.
