Students protest against hike in engineering fee

KADAPA: SFI district secretary V. Veerasekhar and some activists sustained injuries when police resorted to a lathi charge to disperse SFI and AISF activists protesting before the Government Women's Polytechnic against fee hike in engineering colleges.

TIRUPATI: Some 50 students who attempted to stall the engineering counselling sessions on SVU campus were arrested on Wednesday and later let off in the evening. A joint action forum of students unions tried to stop the counselling sessions demanding slash in the tuition fee.
