DARWIN: Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla claimed five wickets as New Zealand `A', resuming at 257 for four, finished at 332 with Craig McMillan making a century on the second day of a four-day match in the Top End cricket series on Wednesday. McMillan batted almost five and a half hours for his century which challenged the New Zealand selectors' decision to drop him last month from their list of 20 contracted players. In reply, India `A' was 208 for six at stumps with Tamil Nadu skipper S. Badrinath (55) coming good after the top-order failed miserably.
