CHENNAI: Nearly a year after it suspended an Inspector-General of Police from service, the State Government on Wednesday revoked the suspension and gave him a new posting. T. Radhakrishnan was suspended last year while he was serving as IGP, Railways. A senior official said the suspension was mainly in connection with the alleged leak of question paper for the selection of police constables. On revocation of suspension, he has been posted as Director of Civil Defence and Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards, Chennai.
Changes at SP level
By the latest order, the Government also made certain changes at the Superintendent of Police level. V. Varadharaju, hitherto Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Section, Greater Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent, Special Task Force, Erode. In his place, T. Ramachandramoorthy has been posted. He was earlier Deputy Commissioner, Headquarters, Greater Chennai. C. Sridhar, Deputy Commissioner, T. Nagar, Greater Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent, Tamil Nadu Commando Force, Chennai.
