NEW DELHI: The serial blasts in Mumbai have resulted in minor disruption of train services between Delhi and the Maharashtra capital. While at least one train has been cancelled, the schedule of a couple of trains has been changed. Due to cancellation of Avadh Express by Western Railway on Tuesday, Avadh Express between Gorakhpur and Mumbai on Friday stands cancelled. Similarly, Northern Railway on Wednesday operated Golden Temple Mail, which was cancelled between Mumbai and Delhi on Tuesday, only between Delhi and Amritsar. Northern Railway also arranged for additional coaches to run the Mumbai-bound August Kranti Rajdhani Express on Wednesday, while similar arrangements have been made to operate Janata Express between Ferozpur and Mumbai on July 14. Neither train could operate from Mumbai on Tuesday. The blasts have also delayed some trains. While the Delhi-bound August Kranti Rajdhani Express was running hours behind schedule, the Mumbai Rajdhani Express reached Delhi at least 30 minutes late on Wednesday. "However, normal operation of trains between Mumbai and Delhi started on Wednesday afternoon," said a Northern Railway spokesperson.
