BANGALORE: BJP MLC Janardhan Reddy, who is at the centre of a controversy, has left for New Delhi to apprise the party's national leaders of his charge against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. Mr. Janardhan Reddy has accused Mr. Kumaraswamy of taking a bribe of Rs. 150 crore through his Cabinet colleague C. Channigappa. Mr. Janardhan Reddy is being accompanied by his brother Karunakara Reddy, BJP member of the Lok Sabha from Bellary. Mr. Janardhan Reddy has not been attending the Legislative Council for last two days. He is known to have his patrons in the central leadership of the party.
Congress agitation
The Congress leaders have decided to hold a one-week agitation in different parts of the State from July 21 to educate the people about the allegation against the Chief Minister and the Government decision to order a judicial inquiry into the BMIC Project. The decision was taken at a meeting attended by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president M. Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N. Dharam Singh.
