HYDERABAD: Two teenaged girls, both sisters, who recently went missing and returned to their house subsequently, told the Saidabad police on Wednesday that two autorickshaw drivers had allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted them. The two girls from Singareni huts area in Saidabad were working as nurses in a private hospital at Khairatabad. According to them, they boarded an autorickshaw at I.S. Sadan a week ago to reach their workplace. In addition to the autorickshaw driver Wazid of Yakutpura, his friend Sadiq of the same locality was sitting in the vehicle already. "The girls maintained that Wazid drove them to his sister Sultana's house in Hafeezbabanagar in the old city and threatened to kill them if they raised their voice," Saidabad Inspector Rammohan Rao said.
Parents approach police
The two youngsters allegedly raped the girls when Sultana went out for work. Later, Wazid took them to his house in Yakutpura and the two youths sexually assaulted them again. Meanwhile, parents of the girls approached the Saidabad police who registered a `missing' case. "Somehow, Wazid and Sadiq learnt about the case and fled the house releasing the girls who returned to their house," the Inspector said. The police booked a kidnap and rape case against the two youngsters and launched a hunt for them.
Girl rescued
In another case, a 14-year-old girl Aasia Begum, who was allegedly kidnapped on the way to her school at Sanathnagar on Monday, was rescued by the Aurangabad railway police and brought back to the city.
