Militants kill four in Poonch

Jammu: Militants shot dead four members of a family in a remote hamlet of Poonch district on Thursday.

Witnesses told The Hindu that militants entered two houses in Magnar hamlet and opened indiscriminate fire on those sleeping inside. Those killed were identified as brothers Lokesh and Pankaj, and cousins Priyanka and Menaka.

A bandh was observed in Poonch to protest the killings, and shops and other establishments remained closed.
