37 teams for Santosh Trophy

Srinagar: As many as 37 teams would be vying for honours in the 61st Santosh Trophy football championship, likely to be played here from September 2.

Kashmir would be hosting the championship for the second time after a gap of 28 years.

The three-week long National event will be held at three venues, Polo Ground (West), Bakshi Stadium and Amar Singh College, Jammu and Kashmir Football Asssociation (JKFA) president Zameer Ahmad Thakur said.

Goa won the last edition of the championship in Kerala. — UNI
