Autopolis project to come up on the Mumbai Highway

HYDERABAD:
The country's first automobile mall, titled Prajay Autopolis, will come up on the outskirts of the city, 10 km from the Hi-Tec City, by the second half of 2008.
The city-based Prajay Engineers Syndicate, which is planning the mall, said the project, spread over 35 acres with a constructed area of over 30.87 lakh square feet, would combine mega automobile showrooms with administrative, servicing and warehousing facilities.
The Autopolis, to come up on the Mumbai Highway and 2km from the Outer Ring Road, would also include facilities for automobile financing institutions and insurance services to create a complete range of services required for both auto companies and customers. It would also have a multi-purpose convention centre for auto fairs and product launches, in addition to a multi-level car parking lot and civic conveniences.
Prajay was already in talks with several leading automobile companies in India to finalise space bookings in the Autopolis. "The company expects a revenue in excess of Rs.6,700 million over the next three years from this venture against an estimated cost of Rs.4,000 million," Prajay Engineering Director Ravinder Reddy said.
