ALAPPUZHA: RSS State deputy chief J. Nandakumar on Thursday demanded the resignation of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan alleging that the law and order situation in the State had deteriorated after he assumed charge. Inaugurating a meeting of RSS, BJP, BMS workers before the Alappuzha Collectorate, Mr. Nandakumar alleged said while the Home Minister was adopting a soft approach towards Islamic terrorist organisations, he was trying to terrorise Hindu organisations. The meeting was organised to protest against the arrest of Hindu Aikya Vedi State secretary Valsan Thillenkery. Mr. Nandakumar said there had been a large number of attacks on leaders of Hindu organisations after Mr. Balakrishnan became the Home Minister. Mr. Nandakumar said when he was in the Opposition, Mr. Balakrishnan had said that the CPI (M) workers would not hesitate to make bombs inside police stations. How could such a person implement justice? He said though the State was under the threat of terrorists, the CPI (M) was feigning ignorance. While the CPI (M) was claiming that the State would become another West Bengal, the State was actually going to become another Kashmir, said the RSS deputy chief. BMS State secretary M.P. Bhargavan also spoke at the meeting. Earlier, RSS, BJP, BMS workers took out a march from the municipal grounds to the Collectorate.
