GUNTUR: DCC president Muppalaenni Seshagiri Rao has suspended five members of the recently elected Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) in Phirangipuram mandal on the charge of not adhering to the party whip. The suspended persons were K.Vijaya Rani, K. Murahari Rao, M. Subba Rao, Ch. Anuradha and R. Shiva Naik. They were believed to be followers of District Grandhalaya Samstha chairman Chitta Vijaya Bhasker Reddy. Sattenapalli MLA Yerram Venkateshwara Reddy offered his resignation when the five members did not adhere to the whip.
