BHOPAL: Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh has assured full cooperation to Madhya Pradesh for the implementation of various rural development schemes. He gave this assurance during discussions with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on the rural development scenario in the State on Tuesday. Dr. Prasad commended "effective" implementation of rural development schemes in Madhya Pradesh and said that additional allocation would be done for the state if needed.
Demand for funds
This assurance came in response to the Chief Minister's demand for additional funds, especially for The Indira Awas Yojana, cultivation of jatropha for bio-diesel and construction of rural roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. The State Minister for Panchayats and Rural Development, Narendra Singh Tomar, was also present during the discussion.
