classes

The Kannada and Culture Department has started Kannada classes from July 3 for three months, for government servants who do not know Kannada. The classes will be held daily from 6.30 p.m to 8.30 p.m. For details, call 22221271.

Eye camp

at temple

Narayana Nethralaya in association with The Rotary Club Bangalore West and Temple Trust is organising a free eye camp and eye surgery on July 14 from 9 a.m to noon at Sri Prasanna Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple premises, Mahalakshmi Layout. For details, call 23491727.

Legal advise

The office of the Commissioner for Disabilities along with assistance of the Alternative Law Forum, Bangalore, is providing free legal services to the disabled at the office of the Commissioner on Wednesday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. For details, call 25482641.

Driving classes

The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) will sponsor driving lessons in autorickshaw, light motor vehicles and heavy motor vehicles for candidates from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minority communities. This will be done through private driving schools within the BMP limits, a press release said. The driving schools need to fulfil the following conditions: The schools should have a three-year old licence from the Transport Department; sitting space for at least 30 students and should have paid income tax for three years. The last date for receiving applications is July 20.

Water adalat

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will hold "water adalat" on Friday in the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, East-2 Sub Division, Indiranagar. The adalat will be held between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Problems of people coming under the jurisdiction of Indiranagar, Jeevan Bima Nagar, and HAL 2nd Stage service stations, will be redressed.
