Alleged criminals arrested
NEW DELHI:
Six young men allegedly involved in cases of robbery, carjacking and extortion were arrested at Jaffarpur Kalan in South-West Delhi in the early hours of Wednesday. The police claim to have recovered two country-made pistols from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Sandeep Kataria, Lalit Kataria, Ashok, Sanjeev, Avinash Yadav and Praveen. During interrogation, they allegedly disclosed that their leader Ashok Rathi is presently lodged in Gurgaon jail. The police said Avinash is the son of a head constable in the Railway Protection Force who is posted at Gurgaon. Avinash is allegedly involved in 20 criminal cases. Praveen is allegedly involved in over a dozen cases.
