Stone India enters Railway electronics business

MUMBAI: Stone India has entered Railway electronics business through the introduction of a slew of high value power electronic products for Indian Railways.

The company has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with SMA Technologies of Germany to introduce inverters, converters and power supply system for coaches, locomotives, EMUs and metros.

The company plans to build a new facility for manufacturing these products through a technology transfer agreement with SMA.
