Chandy's stance on palmolein case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan expressed doubts over Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy's alleged motives in trying to whitewash the accused in the palmolein case.

In a statement here, the Chief Minister said that the High Court, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and a legislature committee had found that there was, prima facie, a case in the palmolein deal.

The Leader of the Opposition when accusing the Government of political vendetta was challenging the findings of the courts, the Chief Minister said.
