THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central team that has toured Kerala to assess the damage from monsoon-related calamities will submit its report in a week to the Home Ministry and the Inter-Ministerial Group which is to recommend assistance from the National Calamity Contingency Fund. Joint Secretary (Home) D.S. Mishra, who is heading the team, said before returning to New Delhi on Friday that they could see the damage from sea erosion and landslips and assess the losses to agriculture and animal husbandry. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Ministers and the Planning Commission, he said, will see the report. There will not be any delay in sanctioning the assistance. arlier, the team had discussions with Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on their findings.
