Mammoth effort

TRADITIONAL RITUAL: As many as 10,008 coconuts have been collected for the `anayoottu' (feeding the elephants) ceremony to be held at Sree Vadakkunnathan temple in Thrissur on Monday as part of the Ashta Dravya Mahaganapathi Homam rites. Nearly 60 el ephants will be fed during the anayoottu, the silver jubilee of which is being celebrated this year.
