PONDICHERRY: Several students who were holding a dharna in front of the assembly on Friday seeking early resolution of their admission problem were injured when police allegedly used force to disperse them. Two girls who fainted during the police action and a boy, who received injuries, have been admitted at the General Hospital. Confirming their hospitalization, Dr Govindarajan, Medical Superintendent of GH said "the boy is under investigation to find out how serious is the injury''. The two girls are under medication. The students from Vinayaka Mission's College of Para Medical science in Kirumampakkam were agitating after the Pondicherry University refused to give affiliation to the 2002-03 and 2003-4 batches of nursing courses.
