Rupee ends lower
MUMBAI:
The rupee ended at its two-week low of 46.3650/3750 against dollar on Friday after staging a strong pull-back rally from its day's low of 46.51/52 a dollar on the back of a decision of the Bank of Japan to end its zero interest rate policy. The Japanese central bank's decision to raise the overnight call rate by 25 basis point from zero to 0.25 per cent helped the rupee to recover sharply.
In a active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market here, the Indian unit opened 12 paise lower at 46.45/47 a dollar from Thursday's close of 46.33/34. PTI
