Bank of Japan raises interest rate

TOKYO: Japan's central bank raised its key interest rate to 0.25 per cent on Friday, the first hike in six years, national broadcaster NHK reported, sending the clearest signal yet that the world's second-largest economy has pulled out of a decade-long slump.
