Bid to arrest vegetable prices

Thiruvananthapuram: Agriculture Minister Mullakara Ratnakaran said here on Friday that the Government would launch a market intervention drive to offset the increase in the price of fruit and vegetables. Inaugurating a mobile sales outlet at the Horticorp Sasya supermarket, Pazhavangady, he said the Agriculture Department had drawn up an action plan to provide fruits and vegetables to consumers at 20 to 30 per cent of the open market price.
