THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has advised the students to mark options for engineering and medical courses in a continuous manner and not as separate entries for medical and engineering courses. A press note issued on Friday said many students were marking options 1, 2, 3... for engineering courses and again options 1, 2, 3... for medical courses. This is not the right method of submitting options. Students should decide the course-college option order and mark the options, whether engineering or medical, according to priority. A student wishing to submit options for five engineering courses and five medical courses but desiring to be considered for medical courses only if he /she does not get allotment for engineering courses should mark options one to five for the engineering courses and mark options six to 10 for the medical courses according to the course-college preferences. In order to ensure that the student's preferences and the one he/she marks on the computer are the same, the student, after submitting the options, should click open the `submitted options' link in the designated website and verify the recorded options. If there is any mismatch it should be immediately corrected, the press note added. The CEE has also notified that the list of non-SC/ST, non-SEBC students who are eligible for reservation if their annual family income is less than Rs.2.5 lakhs has been published on the website cee-kerala.org. Such students too can submit their course-college options till 5 p.m. on July 19.
