MLA, Congress workers lay siege to police station

Special Correspondent

SRIKAKULAM: Congress workers, led by Tekkali legislator Hanumanthu Appayya Dora, on Friday laid siege to the Vajrapukotturu police station alleging that the local sub-inspector was harassing party workers and demanded his transfer. Mr. Dora threatened that the agitation would be intensified if the demand was not conceded.

His close relative lost the recent Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency election and party workers blamed officials for the defeat.
