Centre draws flak for not tackling terrorism

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD : Rajya Sabha member Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy at a press conference on Thursday has deplored the Centre for not taking the issue of terrorism seriously. "Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should hold meetings concerning national security regularly as these would keep the Intelligence agencies on their toes and help avert regrettable incidents such as Tuesday's blasts," he said.

In response to this, plans are afoot by TDP to garner support to raise the issue of terrorism in Parliament. General secretary of TDP Kadiam Srihari has said that the party had decided to compensate its cadres who had suffered `damage to property' in political violence .
