Bangalore: The recent board meeting of Infosys Technologies Ltd. was special. David L. Boyles and Jeffrey Lehman, external board members of the company, released a book titled, "Principles of Enterprise IT Architecture" on the company's campus recently. N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chief Mentor and Founder of Infosys, was present at the book release function. The book introduces the subject of enterprise IT architecture that can effectively execute a company's business strategy. Enterprise IT architecture is an emerging discipline that helps organisations understand and address contemporary business-IT concerns. Jonathan Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer and President, Sun Microsystems, has written the foreword for the book. It is a useful tool for information technology (IT) professionals and undergraduate students. It highlights the strong link between the modern business and IT. The book sketches the work of the founders of major business enterprises, instead of focussing only on the present captains of the industry. Sudeep Mallick (Senior Research Associate, Infosys), S.V. Subrahmanya (Associate Vice-President, Infosys), and Manoj Subhadevan (Technical Architect, Infosys) have written the book. Wiley India is the publisher.
