Booty recovered

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police on Friday arrested a vendor of tender coconuts, K. Ramakrishna, 28, who allegedly resorted to burglaries to support his two wives and children.

Stolen gold ornaments and silver articles, all worth Rs. 8 lakhs, were recovered from him, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy told a press conference here. The arrested person is from Vadali in West Godavari district and came to the city three years ago in search of livelihood.

Loss in business and the compulsion to support two families drove him to theft and burglary, Mr. Reddy said.
