Thiruvananthapuram: P.K. Krishnadas, State general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Friday accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) of being "hand-in-glove" with "religious fundamentalist forces" in Kerala. Addressing the `Jana Sakthi March' organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) here, he accused the CPI(M) of using the police and cadres of the National Development Front (NDF) to politically eradicate the RSS in Kerala. He said the police had falsely implicated the Kannur Vibhak Pracharak Pramukh of RSS Valsan Thilankkery in a murder case. He said Thilankkery was high on the hitlist of the NDF. The RSS leader had been under police protection for the past several months. Mr. Krishnadas said several senior officers, including the Kannur Range DIG, had told him that Thilankkeri had nothing to do with the murder of Yakoob, a CPI(M) activist.
