Fees may be cut

Bangalore: Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Friday evening assured leaders of students' unions that fees in professional colleges under government quota will be retained at last year's levels. Fees in government-run colleges will not be raised for this academic year. Mr. Yediyurappa said the fee structure for medical and dental colleges is likely to be announced on Monday. He said in the case of students admitted to engineering courses (B.E.,), the excess fee would be refunded.
